Feed your kids’ curiosity and desire to explore. New to our repertoire are Explorer Camps! Each camp is designed to help build necessary skills and knowledge of the outdoors for kids to safely and properly recreate on their own.

From single-day activities at Camp Hale to overnight wilderness trips in the White River National Forest, your child will develop an appreciation for our very own backyard as they learn to navigate and conquer the great outdoors.

    Backyard Adventure Day Camp

    Session One: July 6th-8th
    Session Two: July 22nd-24th
    Session Three: Aug 10th-12th

    We’re excited to offer multi-adventure day camps to explore our own backyard. Participants will be exposed to a variety of activities that may include hiking, climbing, stand-up paddleboarding, educational activities at Sylvan Lake State Park and the team-building course at Maloit Park. Activities vary per week and are dependent on weather and conditions.

    Ages: 8-12 or 5-8
    Location: Campers will meet in Edwards and travel to various locations around the area including Camp Hale and the White River National Forest.

    Stand Up Paddle (SUP) Camp

    July 27th-29th

    This 3-day camp delivered in partnership with Stand Up Paddle Colorado is designed for youth who want a basic introduction to stand up paddle boarding some of the best water in the area. Campers will focus on paddling skills, communication, and whitewater safety as they learn the fundamentals of navigating through thrilling rapids. The camp will start out on calm lake waters allowing youth to practice basic SUP paddling, progressing from basic paddling on the lake to the thrilling whitewater of the Upper Colorado River.

    Ages: 12-16
    Location: Program leaves from and returns to the Edwards Field House. Campers will travel to Nottingham Lake & the Upper Colorado River.
