COVID-19 Information

The Gypsum Recreation Center reopened on May 11, 2020 following a brief closure due to COVID-19. Since then, we are proud to say we have seen over 17,000 reservations for our fitness floor, fitness classes, as well as lap and leisure swimming in Gypsum.

New! Pickleball starts Oct 19 and Tumble Tots starts on Nov 2!

We are frequently reevaluating our spaces and procedures to maximize facility access and offerings; however, we will look a little different than the facility you knew before social distancing protocols — at least for a little while. Child watch, walking track, and café/lobby will not be accessible at this time.

Please know that your health and safety are very important to us, and we appreciate your patience and flexibility as we continue to adapt to fully meet current Public Health orders. We ask that everyone abide by the Five Commitments of Containment to allow us to remain open and healthy, including: required face coverings when entering and moving withing any Mountain Rec facility.

All current members and guests looking to become members should email memberships@MountainRec.org to reactivate or start their membership. Learn about how we will credit annual and monthly memberships for days missed by clicking HERE.

Virtual Tour

  • Reactivate Your Membership

Below is information regarding how to reactivate your current membership, for new memberships please visit our front desk or email memberships@MountainRec.org View membership rates HERE

    Annual Memberships
When you’re ready to come visit us, please let the front desk know you have an annual membership and they will extend it the correct amount of days from March 13 to the first day you come see us again. Questions – email Memberships@MountainRec.org.

    Monthly Memberships
If you had a membership prior to our closure on March 13, we will reactivate your membership for June upon your request and credit your first month for the number of days you paid for in March and were not able to visit.

You can start setting this up today with our staff by calling (970) 777-8888 or emailing Memberships@MountainRec.org. Since monthly fees were not charged in April, our membership software (CivicRec) indicates that all monthly membership accounts have overdue balances at this time. Once you call to reactivate your membership, that overdue balance will be removed as our staff adjusts your account to reflect the time missed during the closure.
