- Hockey ClinicsOct 13-Nov 3 (3:30pm-4:45pm) | Eagle
There is one great way to start playing hockey as an adult: Just play!
Put down the television remote, rise from your comfortable recliner, and lace up those ice skates!
You’ll discover you’ve been initiated into a close-knit community where you’ll learn how to play hockey, have fun, remain fit, and stay young!
Clinics will focus on three essential hockey skills: skating, puck control, and shooting. As we practice these skills, adults of all ages and fitness levels can challenge themselves, have fun, and develop new friendships.
Some Ice Skating experience is required. Helmets, skates and sticks are available for use. Full hockey gear is recommended. Have questions on gear? Contact sstaten@mountainrec.org.

Price: $18 - Yoga WorkshopNov 16 (10am-12pm) | Gypsum
Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or brand new to the art form, join Madison in this special two-hour yoga workshop. Class will begin with seated meditation, the use of props and breath work. We will learn more on the subtle intricacies of body movement through the flow of poses, and end with optional lavender facial and neck treatment. Come experience one-of-a-kind attention and a level of detail not typically available in an ordinary class setting.
You will leave feeling knowledgeable, confident and excited about your personal journey through Yoga. Come and treat yourself to a restful and restoring start to your weekend!

Price: $100 - Beginner Pickleball ClinicNov 22 (5pm-6:30pm) & Nov 23 (9am-10:30am) | Gypsum
Interested in learning how to play pickleball? Join us on Friday, November 22 and Saturday November 23 for a two-day pickleball clinic! This session will meet from 5pm-6:30pm on Friday November 22 and 9am-10:30am on Saturday November 23 at the Gypsum Recreation Center. November 22 will be an instructional session on pickleball, while November 23 will consist of play/practice with help from our instructors. The clinic will be led by Robin and Jerry Santoro. This session is $100 per person. This clinic is for ages 18+.

Robin and Jerry Santoro will be leading a Pickleball 201 clinic for those who would like to improve technique and game strategy! Join us on Friday, November 22 and Saturday November 23 for a two-day pickleball clinic! This session will meet from 7pm-8:30pm on Friday November 22 and 11am-12:30pm on Saturday November 23 at the Gypsum Recreation Center. This session is $100 per person. This clinic is for ages 18+.

To get signed up for your membership, please call your insurance company to receive your Fitness ID number. Bring that number to the front desk at the Gypsum Recreation Center, and we will activate your membership! All memberships include access to the fitness floor, pool, sport court, climbing wall, and fitness classes.
Gypsum Rec Center Fitness Classes
- Tai Chi Fit
Tai Chi Fit improves balance, develops better body mechanics for everyday life, increases energy, and increases stamina. The classes begin with a warm up and continues through Qigong exercises followed by several movements that are inspired by Yang style Tai Chi.
- Water Aerobics
Exercising in the water is a challenging, yet fun workout that is easy on the joints! Come and let use the resistance of the water and power to your cardio workout!
- Yoga / Gentle Yoga
Good for the mind, body and soul, this stress-reliever will help you gain improved body awareness and flexibility through the yoga tradition. Take the class to tone your muscles or as a compliment to your normal exercise routine.
- Zumba
Zumba® combines Latin and international music with a fun and effective workout system which involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts.
