- Mean Street BoxingMondays & Wednesdays (6:30-8:30 p.m.) | Gypsum
The Eagle Valley Youth Boxing Team offers competitive and training programs for youth, adults, and special populations, including Jr. Olympics (ages 13-14), Silver Gloves (ages 15-16), Golden Gloves (ages 17-18) and Open/Novice Adult Division (ages 19-40). Programs support multi-sport athletes, mixed martial artists, and Parkinson’s patients through non-contact boxing, conditioning, and boxercise. Volunteer opportunities are also available for coaches, trainers, referees, and boxing judges.

Learn the building blocks of pickleball with certified PPR instructor Mike Leigh. This 90-minute foundations clinic, Thursday, March 12 from 1:30-3:00pm at the Edwards Field House will focus on key skills such as serving, returning, volleying, and dinking, with an emphasis on technique and consistency. Ideal for beginners or players wanting to strengthen their fundamentals and gain confidence on the court.
Join us for a fun afternoon, paddles and balls will be provided.

Price: $50 - Intermediate Pickleball ClinicMar 19 (1:30-3 p.m.) | Edwards
This intermediate clinic is intended for players who have a solid understanding of the fundamentals and are ready to build consistency, strategy, and advanced technique. Beginner players are encouraged to register for a beginner clinic.
Learn the building blocks of pickleball with certified PPR instructor Mike Leigh. In tournament play, Mike has won 8 gold medals, 5 silver medals, and 4 bronze medals. This 90-minute clinic is meant for intermediate players who want to improve their skills on their way to becoming advanced players. Players will develop consistent groundstrokes, using both topspin and slice. The clinic will cover the mechanics of the drop shot and when to use a drop shot vs a drive. The clinic will also cover how to hit overheads using proper technique, movement, and placement. Also, how to hit an effective lob and when to use the lob for offense and defense. Sessions conclude with integrated point play, helping players move together as partners, determine the correct shot and compete with confidence.

Price: $50 - Indoor Triathlon Training ClubMar 4-25 | Gypsum
Get ready for race day with our Indoor Triathlon Race Support Training Club, designed to help athletes feel confident, prepared, and supported going into the Indoor Triathlon. This four-week conditioning program focuses on form, pacing, and smooth transitions, while helping you fit training into real life.
Sessions are led by Abbey, a local cross-country coach, and Louis, our Aquatics Supervisor, combining run, bike, and swim expertise in a supportive group setting.

- When: Wednesdays, March 4, 11, 18, and 25
- Time: 6:00–7:00 PM
- Who: Open to all levels; ideal for Indoor Triathlon participants
- Focus: Technique, pacing, transitions, and race-day confidence
Weekly Breakdown:
- Session 1: Event overview, training plans, balancing training with life, plus swimming (last 15 minutes)
- Session 2: Swim & bike focus
- Session 3: Bike & run focus
- Session 4: Practice triathlon with emphasis on transitions
What to Bring (every session):
Running shoes, goggles, swimsuit, and swim cap.Bonus: Participants who register for the Race Support Training Club receive $25 off their Indoor Triathlon registration.
- Indoor TriathlonMarch 28 | Gypsum
Test your endurance in our Indoor Triathlon on March 28! Participants will complete 15 minutes each of swimming, biking, and running, earning points based on total distance using a standardized scoring formula. Scores from all three events are combined, with awards for the top cumulative score in each age group.
All athletes receive a swag bag at check-in, and awards, including Mountain Rec gift certificates, will be presented at 1:00 PM.

Have you been wanting to learn the fastest growing game in the country in 90 minutes?
Come join us at our beautiful new courts for a fun and friendly introduction to pickleball. There will be lots of skills and drills, and you will be playing a game before you leave! Mindy Feldman, the clinic instructor, is a certified PPR coach. Paddles and balls are provided.

To get signed up for your membership, please call your insurance company to receive your Fitness ID number. Bring that number to the front desk at the Gypsum Recreation Center, and we will activate your membership! All memberships include access to the fitness floor, pool, sport court, climbing wall, and fitness classes.
Gypsum Rec Center Fitness Classes
- Tai Chi Fit
Tai Chi Fit improves balance, develops better body mechanics for everyday life, increases energy, and increases stamina. The classes begin with a warm up and continues through Qigong exercises followed by several movements that are inspired by Yang style Tai Chi.
- Water Aerobics
Exercising in the water is a challenging, yet fun workout that is easy on the joints! Come and let use the resistance of the water and power to your cardio workout!
- Yoga / Gentle Yoga
Good for the mind, body and soul, this stress-reliever will help you gain improved body awareness and flexibility through the yoga tradition. Take the class to tone your muscles or as a compliment to your normal exercise routine.
- Zumba
Zumba® combines Latin and international music with a fun and effective workout system which involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba’s choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, salsa, merengue, mambo and martial arts.
