Rock Climbing
The Gypsum Recreation Center and Edwards Field House are home to indoor rock climbing! Both facilities feature a large climbing wall and separate bouldering wall. After completing a Mountain Recreation belay certification, both climbing walls are available to guests during normal facility operating hours. Standard facility admission fees apply, or are included with your membership.
Outdoor rock climbing programs are weather and season dependent.

Have a little one who climbs anything and everything?
Come join us for Tots and Top Ropes! Inspired by our beloved Tumble Tots programs, Tots and Top Ropes is open to children who are walking up to 5yo.
Our staff will help parents learn tips and tricks for adventuring and climbing with young ones, how to belay your kiddo, and offer a few extra pairs of watchful eyes so you can get on the wall too.
All skill and ability levels are welcome.

*You must register before 4pm the day of the clinic – no drop-ins. * This is important for our planning purposes.
Attend this free 30-minute clinic to learn how to safely and confidently use basic climbing equipment, follow auto-belay safety protocols, and clip into the auto-belays correctly. After attending, you’ll be able to use the auto-belay system during our facility’s operating hours
Requirements:
- Ages 8-13 year-olds requires parent supervision whenever child is using Auto-Belay & for the parent to pass Auto-Belay test as well
- Ages 14+ can take the test and use without adult supervision

Price: Free - Elementary Afterschool Climbing SeriesNov 6, 13, 20 (4:15-5:30 p.m.) | Gypsum
Looking for a fun, engaging, and active afterschool activity for your elementary schooler? Our Elementary Afterschool Climbing Series is the perfect opportunity to introduce students to the exciting world of rock climbing! Running as a 3-part series on Thursdays from 4:15 to 5:30 p.m. at the Gypsum Recreation Center, this program combines physical fitness, hands-on learning, and social interaction in a safe and supportive environment.
All ability levels welcome!
