Governmental accounting is my area of interest and passion. I had the chance to work on variety of governmental entities during my time in public accounting. I am excited to bring that experience, knowledge and best practices to Mountain Recreation and help the District achieve its goal. I believe in teamwork and serving community. When I am not working, I like to spend time with my kids, 4 years old boy and 2 years old girl. I enjoy hiking, exploring mountains and watching soccer, football, and hockey. So excited to be back in the mountains after spending several years in Denver. I love getting outside year-round but I especially love the snow and all things winter. When the snow is not falling I typically have a camera in my hands or I am biking, hiking and discovering new spots to camp.

Bachelor of Arts/Exercise Science at Simpson College in Indianola, IA
I started as a competitive swimmer from age three through Junior year of college and fell into lifeguarding (naturally). After college, I landed my first Aquatics Coordinator role with City of Des Moines Parks and Rec where I oversaw five pools with 150 staff. I then became an Aquatics Manager with LifeTime Fitness in Des Moines and developed a leadership team to grow the aquatics swim programs there. Afterwards, I moved west to follow my love of the outdoors and worked an Aquatics Coordinator for City of Mesa Parks and Rec. During my time with Mesa, I met my husband and wanted to continue our love of the outdoors together, and found Mountain Recreation!

I grew up in the rural town of Chickaloon, Alaska and moved into the small town of Palmer, Alaska when I was 9. Hockey has always been a part of me from a young age when I learned how to ice skate on frozen ponds. I moved out of Alaska when I was 18 to pursue a dream of officiating minor professional hockey. I chased that dream for 8 years all over the country. I moved to Eagle, CO in 2011 and have found this to be my home. I am recently married to my wife Ashley and we have 2 dogs Teddy and Doug.
