New! We are excited to bring martial arts to Mountain Recreation. Starting July 15th, 2022 we will be offering a combination of Taekwondo and Hapkido at the Edwards Field House. Lessons are available for kids 4-18 years old and are held every Friday. Each session runs for five weeks, $65 per kiddo.

  • Taekwondo4-6 year olds

    This class teaches and encourages discipline and respect in young children in a physical, structured and fun environment. While we do learn how to kick and punch, we also focus on our sense of selves and how to improve the world around us through physical activity. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art meaning “the way of the hand and foot”.

  • Taekwondo & Hapkido7-12 year olds

    This is an all level class for elementary and middle school students. We work on focus, respect and discipline through physical and structured activities such as kicking and punching and self-defense. Taekwondo and Hapkido are both Korean martial arts, with taekwondo meaning “the way of the hand and foot” and Hapkido meaning “the way of coordinated energy”.

    This is an all level class for middle and high school students. This class teaches focus, respect and discipline through self-defense. Taekwondo and Hapkido are both Korean martial arts, with taekwondo meaning “the way of the hand and foot” and Hapkido meaning “the way of coordinated energy”.
