The Gypsum Recreation Center and Edwards Field House are home to some of the best indoor rock climbing in Eagle County. Both facilities feature a large climbing wall and separate bouldering wall. After completing a Mountain Recreation belay certification, both climbing walls are available to guests during normal facility operating hours. Standard facility admission fees apply, or are included with your membership.

  • Ice Climbing with Climbing for LifeMarch 23, 2020 @East Vail

Mountain Recreation is thrilled to be teaming up with Climbing for Life to offer an ice climbing clinic on March 23. Climbing for Life is a non-profit organization committed to providing an experience that will deeply impact the self-image of young persons at risk, and to provide them with the building blocks to carry that image into creating a positive future. This program, led by CFL President, Tom Willard will provide an amazing opportunity for youth ages 14-18 to experience the thrills of ice climbing in our own backyard (East Vail).  Previous climbing experience preferred. Experienced climbers that are younger than 14 may be considered. All necessary equipment will be provided. Program will meet and leave from the Edwards Field House.
