Outdoor Gear Library

We are so excited you’ve found us! Welcome to Mountain Rec’s Community Gear Library. Here, families and community members can borrow outdoor equipment and clothing, learn about local recreation opportunities, and explore your connection to nature.

How does it work?

1. Sign up for a Monthly Membership
Outdoor Gear Library memberships are $10 per month. Memberships can be set up in person Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00pm at the Edwards Field House or online via the link below.

2. Reserve Gear Online
Individuals can check out up to 12 gear items at a time for 1 week at a time. The check-out process can be utilized every week throughout the duration of the individual’s month-long membership. Members will be able to see an up-to-date inventory of all items that are available for checkout and check out items online. There are limited number of items in our soft launch phase of the gear library being open, so gear items will be lent out on a first reserve, first serve basis. Items must be reserved prior to Tuesdays pick-up time.

3. Pick Up & Drop off Gear in Edwards
Members can pick up gear they have reserved online on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00pm at the Edwards Field House. Members can drop off their gear anytime in the following week during Edwards Field House facility operating hours at the front desk. All gear items must be returned within a week of checking them out and in the same condition as when they were checked out (clean, dry, in working condition, etc.).

Individuals who check out items take responsibility for their personal safety while using the Outdoor Gear Library gear and are financially responsible for returning the gear items in the same condition as to when it was checked out.
