What if one evening could introduce you to a new hobby, a new friend, or a new place your family will love?

That’s exactly why we created Rec Days.

This July, we’re excited to launch this brand-new series of free community events as part of National Parks and Recreation Month. Hosted at each of our facilities, Rec Days is your chance to explore everything Mountain Recreation has to offer. Whether you’ve been coming to our facilities for years or have never stepped through our doors, we invite you to come play, meet our staff, try something new and experience the fun, connection and recreation that make our community special.

At Mountain Recreation, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthy and happy life. We provide quality recreation programs and facilities for all ages and abilities, but we know many people don’t realize just how much we offer thus, these events are designed to help you discover something new. Maybe you’ll find your child’s next favorite sport, meet a personal trainer who inspires you to reach your fitness goals, try climbing for the first time, or simply spend an evening making memories with family and friends.

Every event includes:

  • Free admission
  • Free food while supplies last
  • Live music from DJ Krusher
  • Free swag from each department
  • A photo booth with Bentley the Bear
  • Activities for all ages

Each location offers its own unique lineup of activities, so no two events are the same.

Support Local Youth

Don’t forget to bring $10 to enter our raffle for the chance to win Bentley the Bear jerseys, youth and adult water bottles, sports balls and Mountain Recreation memberships. Every ticket purchased helps support our Youth Scholarship Fund, giving more local children and families access to recreation programs throughout the year.

Recreation Makes Communities Stronger

If you’re already part of the Mountain Rec community, we’d love your help. Invite a friend, neighbor or coworker who has never visited one of our facilities. Recreation is even better when it’s shared, and Rec Days is the perfect opportunity to introduce someone to everything Mountain Recreation has to offer.

Mountain Recreation serves communities from Edwards to Dotsero across nearly 880 square miles, and we see every day how much recreation matters in people’s lives.

Last year, more than 168,000 visits came through our recreation centers. Families learned to swim at the Eagle Pool during its very first summer season, with nearly 23,000 swimmers making memories in the water. Across our facilities, we offered more than 250 programs designed for all ages and abilities, and through our Youth Scholarship Fund, 48 families and 87 youth were able to participate who might not have had the opportunity otherwise.

These numbers represent something more important than participation. They represent people trying something new, kids gaining confidence, adults finding community, and families discovering a place where they belong.

That is what Rec Days is really about. This series was created so more people in our community can experience that feeling firsthand. Not just hear about it, but actually show up, try something, ask questions, meet our staff and see what recreation can mean in their own lives.

We can’t wait to welcome you, your family and your neighbors to Rec Days this July.
