Website Accessibility Statement
Mountain Recreation District (Mountain Rec) is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We are actively working to improve the accessibility and usability of mountainrec.org.
Website Improvements in 2026
Mountain Rec is partnering with Streamline to develop a new, more accessible website in 2026. This work is focused on improving navigation, readability and overall usability while working toward recognized accessibility standards.
Accessibility Standards
We strive to make our digital content accessible and are working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, where feasible.
Ongoing Efforts
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we build our new site, we are reviewing content and design elements to help ensure people can:
- Navigate using a keyboard and assistive technology
- Read content with appropriate contrast and text sizing
- Access images and documents with meaningful descriptions and clear structure
Third-Party Sites
Throughout this website, Mountain Recreation makes use of various third-party websites, which are not controlled by Mountain Rec. Mountain Rec cannot guarantee that the third-party website will be in compliance with WCAG 2.1 level AA or comply with the accessibility requirements set forth by applicable law.
