Martial Arts
We offer dynamic martial arts training at the Edwards Field House and Gypsum Rec Center, featuring a powerful blend of Taekwondo and Taekwondo & Hapkido that builds discipline, confidence and self-defense skills. In addition, our Boxing program at the Gypsum Rec Center delivers high-energy workouts focused on technique, conditioning and agility.

- Taekwondo4-6 year olds
This class teaches and encourages discipline and respect in young children in a physical, structured and fun environment. While we do learn how to kick and punch, we also focus on our sense of selves and how to improve the world around us through physical activity. Taekwondo is a Korean martial art meaning “the way of the hand and foot”.
Practice runs from 4:30pm-5:15pm
- Taekwondo & Hapkido7-14 year olds
This is an all level class for elementary and middle school students. We work on focus, respect and discipline through physical and structured activities such as kicking and punching and self-defense. Taekwondo and Hapkido are both Korean martial arts, with taekwondo meaning “the way of the hand and foot” and Hapkido meaning “the way of coordinated energy”.
Practice runs from 5:30pm-6:30pm.

The Eagle Valley Youth Boxing Team offers competitive and training programs for youth, adults, and special populations, including Jr. Olympics (ages 13-14), Silver Gloves (ages 15-16), Golden Gloves (ages 17-18) and Open/Novice Adult Division (ages 19-40). Programs support multi-sport athletes, mixed martial artists, and Parkinson’s patients through non-contact boxing, conditioning, and boxercise. Volunteer opportunities are also available for coaches, trainers, referees, and boxing judges.
