Edwards Field House Celebrates Reopening on Dec. 23

Mountain Recreation District (Mountain Rec) will celebrate the reopening of the Edwards Field House (450 Miller Ranch Rd.) with a free community open house on Tuesday, Dec. 23, from 5 to 7 p.m. All ages are invited to explore the upgraded facility and enjoy light refreshments while supplies last.
The renovated Edwards Field House features $1.2 million in improvements designed to enhance play, fitness and community connection. Guests can tour and jump around in the updated gymnastics area, complete with new equipment, repurposed trampolines and expanded ninja course features, view upgrades to the Rec Kids Day Camp room and try the brand-new maple hardwood sport court. The upgraded court will support three basketball, three volleyball and three pickleball courts, separated by a new divider curtain. New climbing walls will be installed in April 2026.
During the event, children ages 5 to 10 will be allowed to enter the gymnastics area for 10 to 15-minute increments with adult supervision. Attendees of the open house can also enter to win a free 2026 Edwards Field House membership.
“The Edwards Field House has always been a hub for families, athletes, and neighbors,” said Brad Johnson, Edwards’ facility supervisor at Mountain Rec. “These improvements reflect our commitment to creating fun, safe and accessible spaces where our community can grow, play and connect.”
