Eagle Pool Opens June 5: What to Know
We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of the brand-new Eagle Pool on Thursday, June 5, and we invite you to join us in making a splash. Here’s everything you need to know to kick off your summer at the pool:
Opening Day Schedule
- 11:30 a.m. – Ribbon Cutting
- 12-6 p.m. – Pool Open
- 3-5:30 p.m.- Swim Team Placement Test

What’s New at the Pool?
Nearly everything, except the original (now refurbished) Willy the Frog.
Here’s What You Can Look Forward To:
- Nearly double the water surface area with a zero-depth leisure pool and a separate six-lane lap pool
- Four new family changing rooms
- Two awesome new water slides
- Shade structures and lounge chairs
- Basketball, ziplines, water play features and more
Bring Shade:
Tents and umbrellas are welcome and must be securely staked into the natural grass lawn. For safety reasons, they are only permitted when wind speeds are below 10 mph. Please note that tents and umbrellas are not allowed on turf areas.
Getting Here:
We love active transportation. Walk or bike if you can.
Parking Info:
- Park in the upper and lower Eagle Pool and Ice Rink lots
- If full, overflow parking is at the BMX/Trailhead parking lot
- Please do not park on Bull Pasture Road
Pool Passes and Daily Rates:
Passes are available in-person only at:
- Eagle Pool and Ice Rink: 10 a.m.-4 p.m. until June 5, then noon to 6 p.m. daily
- Gypsum Rec Center: 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays
- Edwards Field House: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday
- Public Swim: 12-6 p.m. Daily
- Master’s Swim: 6-7 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays (sign up here)
- Adult Lap Swim (6 lanes): 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Monday-Thursday
- Adult Lap Swim: 12-6 p.m. Daily (lap lanes will be blocked off)
- Swim Lessons: 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Monday-Thursday
- Swim Team: 6:30-11:30 a.m. Monday-Thursday
