- Free Snowshoe Series
Join us as we hit the trails this winter and explore the natural beauty of Eagle County. These snowshoes are open to all ages and free to attend. We do ask that you RSVP so we know how much hot chocolate and cookies to bring!
- Hot chocolate and cookies provided
- Donations will be accepted for the Vail Valley Food Pantry
- Headlamps or flashlights highly recommended for full moon snowshoes in November and December
Wednesday, November 21 – Full Moon Hike | 6:30pm | Haymaker Trail Eagle (3 miles)
Friday, December 21 – Full Moon Hike/Snowshoe | 6:30pm | Edwards – Miller Ranch Open Space (2 miles)
Tuesday, January 1 – First Day Hike/Snowshoe | Sylvan Lake State Park | Time: 10am
We will meet at the Sylvan Lake Visitors Center at 10:00am. If the roads are manageable in a van, we will have one van leaving the Edwards Field House at 9:15am and stopping at the Eagle Pool and Ice Rink at 9:45 to pick up. Please indicate during registration if you would like a spot on the van. Limited seats available on the van.
- Wine and Bike
Palisade is home to 20+ wineries. Join Mountain Recreation on this adult only trip to the Western Slope.
Enjoy an easy-paced Saturday afternoon bike ride visiting a handful of vineyards for tastings and tours and a comfy night’s rest in the beautiful Wine Country Inn.
Sunday morning includes a tasty breakfast buffet and optional hike on the Palisade Rim Trail (or free time to lounge around pool or check out Peach Street Distillery).
$135 for individuals based on double occupancy in a two-queen bed room. $245 for couples in a King bed room. Cost includes transportation (for you and your bike), accommodation and tour. Meals (other than Sunday breakfast) are on your own.
